Cleanroom manufacturing for optical bonding

A single trapped particle can show up as a visible defect in the finished display. Bonding takes place under controlled air, temperature and humidity to support repeatable results from prototype through to series production.

The project perspective

Aligned with ISO Class 7, not a fixed guarantee

Particles trapped in the bonding layer can appear as bubbles, specks or haze in the finished display. Production is aligned with ISO Class 7 principles (ISO 14644), with multi-stage air filtration, climate control and ESD protection. No specific certification or location is stated; evidence and audit arrangements are agreed per project.

Climate and air control

Temperature, humidity and particle concentration are controlled within defined tolerances, supporting even curing and flow of LOCA and OCA materials.

ESD protection

Conductive flooring and clothing, along with ionised air, protect sensitive touch controllers and display panels from electrostatic discharge.

Vacuum lamination and autoclave

Glass and display are joined inside a vacuum chamber to reduce trapped air; a defined pressure-and-heat step afterwards can reduce residual micro-bubbles in film adhesive.

Before the first review

What to put in your brief.

A useful specification reduces uncertainty and gives the technical review a clear starting point.

  • Cleanroom and ESD handling requirements relevant to the product
  • Batch records, traceability and documentation your project needs
  • Prototype through to series-production volume plans
Questions worth asking

Clear scope. Clear expectations.

Is the manufacturing environment cleanroom-certified?

No specific certification is claimed. Production is aligned with ISO Class 7 (ISO 14644) principles; evidence and audit arrangements are agreed per project.

Can small batches be produced under the same conditions?

Yes. Many projects start with a prototype or small batch and move to larger production runs using the same documented process.

Can a facility visit or audit be arranged?

Enquire through the project contact form. No location is stated here; visit and audit arrangements are agreed per project.
