Bright daylight
Specify direct sunlight, reflections from water and the viewing position.
Bridge displays and vessel control panels must be considered in their actual installation. Sunlight, moisture, night operation and touch behaviour all matter.

*Diagonal scope. Dimensions and stack suitability require technical assessment.
A bonded front can reduce reflections at internal interfaces and remove the air gap where fogging can occur. It does not protect the entire device from salt water or condensation elsewhere in the enclosure. Installation position, seals, corrosion protection and the operating temperature range need separate consideration.
Specify direct sunlight, reflections from water and the viewing position.
Define dimming requirements, interface readability and any product-specific optical constraints.
Specify spray exposure, wet fingers, gloves, cleaning and enclosure sealing.
Most LCDs are themselves polarised. Where a pair of polarised sunglasses lines up unfavourably with the display, the screen can appear partially or fully dark — a known display and eyewear interaction, not something bonding resolves by itself.
A useful specification reduces uncertainty and gives the technical review a clear starting point.
Not on its own. Materials, seals, connectors and the enclosure must be assessed for the intended exposure.
No. The touch system and the final assembly need evaluation under the specified conditions.
Yes, this is a known display and eyewear interaction rather than a fault. Optical bonding does not resolve it on its own, but it provides the layered construction needed to add a compatible optical layer, assessed per project.
